2021 in pictures

most of 2021 is a blur because it flew by so quickly

January

…at this point we were well adjusted to this new normal life and were making the best of out time together.

February

…continued to have fun at home and explore my creativity and also, just doing nothing.

March

…instead of “celebrating” the year mark of covid, i decided to celebrate everything that was accomplished and created “this year i…” including people from all seasons of my life. this was the first project that i was crazy excited to share with the world.

April

…as part of a new series for the kids ministry, i watched and filmed caterpillars transform into butterflies. this ended up being so much fun and kind of landed in my life at a perfect time of changes and transitions.

May

…was a big month! i moved back to new york with a new job. one of my best friends got married to the love of his life. i got approved for my own studio apartment in manhattan.

June

…i turned 26. met a lot of new people and caught up with a lot of old friends. i started running around central park. summer was filled with new opportunities!

July

…i was adjusting to living alone. went to the beach a few times. new york was mostly open, but we were still trying to be cautious. i had been struggling with a lot of things internally and started therapy and it was never the same. i absolutely love therapy and highly encourage it.

August

…my desire to be in new york started to fizzle but i was determined to continue to make the most of my time here. i needed to find outlets where i could feel at peace whilst still dealing with a global pandemic. i traveled to montana to visit a friend who recently moved and i fell in love with montana almost instantly.

September

…traveled to nashville for a church conference which changed my life. i invited my sister to move in with me while she explored her career options in new york. had a lot of heart-to-heart moments with loved ones. september was an extremely hard month for me.

October

…took a lot walks. went on day trips with my sister. dove deeper into so newer friendships. had old friends visit from out of town.

November

…new york started getting chilly with fall just around the corner. continued to grow deeper friendships. felt at peace for a little bit. got covid right before thanksgiving break.

December

…this month flew by and i ended the year where i should be: with family. i don’t have a lot of words to describe this year but i’m grateful for another one-whatever it holds.
