petites lettres: pre-uganda edition

It's Sunday and I will be leaving for Uganda on Wednesday...so crazy how I ended up here! I can't emphasize enough how miraculous my God is. It was just winter quarter that I found out I'd be going and here I am in Texas getting ready for this adventure. In all honesty, I didn't see myself in this situation-but that's what is so great about the wonders of my creator. He takes you by surprise when you least expect it!

...I just want to say a few things before I say BRB for a bit-things that have been on my heart and can best be expressed through my writing...

Dear Mom + Dad + Sisters,
Do I say thank you as much as I should? I'm sorry if I don't. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of your support and encouragement during this tough and crazy time. I am grateful to have you by my side and knowing that wherever I move or whatever life I choose, I'll still have you.

Dear Southern humidity,
NO. THANK YOU. I thought I missed you but I was so wrong. We went to the botanical garden in Dallas today; it was so very pretty but so flippin sticky- hot (this doesn't sound grammatically correct but I'm going to roll with it). Again, insanely beautiful but vision clouded by my own sweat.

Dear Friends who are near + far,
You mean so much to me. I'm sorry if I haven't been the best about keeping in touch or just asking how your day was-I'm always thinking about you! Also, if you had a conversation with me within this last week, your encouragement and wise words have been such a blessing to hear! I am definitely in the season of uncertainty and the unknown and having a community of people you feel comfortable with is so nice.

Dear Amazon Prime,
Thanks for saving my booty when I realized I hadn't purchased needed items for this trip and was blessed with free one-day shipping. Again, blessings.

Dear California weather,
Even though you is HOT, you is still beautiful (and not humid).

FRIENDS:
If you would like to follow along our journey to Uganda, you can check out the ministries' blog HERE. I will try to post photos on my insta at night, however, there is no guarantee...just in case the internet is poo.
