10 things about me

Whether you've followed me on my previous blog or you're new, welcome! Today I thought I'd share some facts about me. I think I'm a very interesting person to meet. If I didn't know me, I would probably run away from people like me but...so far I haven't so that's good.

1. I'm an ambivert. I love to talk to people and be in intimate conversations but I also love my alone time. I used to fear that I would become an introvert because in high school I was the biggest extravert out there but I learn to accept it and really embrace that quality.

2. I have a cat named Roo. She is a rescue kitty, but she has rescued me in many ways. If you feel inclined, she has an insta.

3. When I was a preteen, I starred in a play called Journey with the Genie  and I was the genie. I was also battling a 102 degree fever both performances and doped up on Motrin. Ask my mom, she has a photo of the cast and I look high as a kite.

4. I'm an art student but it's been one of the hardest positions I've ever had to work through. Art has always had a big impact on my life, but my first art class was actually in college!

5.  Jazz music calms me down. Ha. I was actually in jazz band in middle school. I don't think I was any good because I sucked at improvising but I really loved the music so it didn't even matter.

6. I have a small collection of vintage photos of random people doing wacky things. One guy is sleeping and one guy is doing a headstand. They are random and I absolutely love them and am always looking for more.

7. Spontaneous is my middle name. I've driven to Florida, pierced my ears, cut + bleached my hair, did a flip off of a boulder into the water (and cut my upper lip) randomly booked a one way flight to NY from savannah. Anyways, you get the point. I just have a wild spirit that is often good but can also be risky. Let's just say I've learned a lot over the years.

8. I've lost both my phone and keys to the Atlantic ocean. No, not at the same time. Yes, all while I was in college.

9. I drink an insane amount of coffee. When I went to New York for the first time, I drank five cups a day. When I visited Nashville, I drank three cups a day. It's a very unhealthy relationship that I have...

10. I am more than my artwork. It has taken lots of convincing and self-realization that I am more than what I make. I am a daughter, a sister, a student, a friend, a mentor and an artist.
